Anaesthetics

Anaesthesia and the post-operative recovery of patients over 2 years old are taken care of by the two Anaesthesiology Units at the Institut Hospitalier Franco Britannique.
Anaesthesia procedures are carried out for both scheduled surgery and emergency surgical procedures.
The patients are looked after by an anaesthetist/ICU doctor during the whole perioperative period (in particular for pain management and post-operative after effects).

A general or loco-regional anaesthesia is proposed, depending on the surgical or invasive procedure to be carried out, the medical history and the patient’s choice.

Perioperative and post-operative pain management is a primary concern at the Institut Hospitalier Franco-Britannique.
