The Perpetual Secours Charity has undertaken a teaching role since 1958 and is currently provided by the Institut de Formation en Soins Infirmiers (I.F.S.I.).

As part of its mission, the I.F.S.I. offers:
Training for the « diplôme d’Etat d’infirmier/infirmière » (State Registered Nurse Diploma) (3 years training. Classes of 90 students with courses starting in September every year).
Training for the « diplôme d’Etat d’aide-soignant/aide-soignante » (Nursing Auxiliary Diploma) (10 months training. Classes of 60 students with courses starting in January).
Training for the « diplôme d’Etat d’auxiliaire de puériculture » (Child Care Assistant) (10 months training. Classes of 45 students with courses starting in September).
as well as:
Training for the Nursing Schools Entrance Exam (One class of 25 students per year, from October to May).
Training for the Auxiliary Nursing School Entrance Exam (One class of 15 to 20 students per year, from April to October).
Training for the Child Care Assistant School Entrance Exam (One class of 10 to 15 students per year, from November to May).
Added to these missions are :
Training for the State Registered Nurse Diploma for doctors who acquired their diploma outside the European Community (One class of 15 students per year, from November to April)
V.A.E. (A.P.E.L. Accreditation of Prior and Experiential Learning) for auxiliary nursing staff and child care assistants.
A.F.G.S.U. (First Aid and Emergency Care Certificate).

2011 is a year full of projects for the I.F.S.I.:
Continuing to set up a new study program leading to the State Registered Nurse Diploma which is now part of the Bachelor-Master-Doctorate (L.M.D.) system, in collaboration with the Université Pierre et Marie Curie,
Opening up towards Europe thanks to partnerships with Belgium and Bulgaria.
Growth in the field of Continuing Education.
