The current system of governance of the Œuvre du Perpétuel Secours and the Institut hospitalier Franco-Britannique was established in 2008 when the Hertford British Hospital Corporation introduced the activities of the Hertford British Hospital.

This new system translates the common will of the two associations:

  to ensure the development of the hospital – under the name of the Institut hospitalier Franco-Britannique – with the permanent aim of giving the best possible responses to public health requirements and to the expectations of patients;

  to offer patients, in a hospital on a human scale, an attentive reception and quality care; 

to remain faithful to the spirit and will of their founders and, to this effect, to offer care within public health care tariff ceilings without added fees.
