The comprehensive gynaecology-obstetric service includes:
 47 beds for in-patients of which are:
34 for mothers giving birth
13 beds for pathological pregnancies and gynaecological surgery.
5 delivery rooms, 3 labour rooms
3 operating theatres The IHFB health care group provides continuous 24/7 hospital coverage. The permanent on-call team consists of an anaesthetist, a gynaecologist-obstetrician and a paediatrician- neonatologist. An additional gynaecologist-obstetrician can intervene within fifteen minutes.
Receiving prenatal care and delivering at a Level II maternity hospital guarantees a high level of new-born care. The neonatal-prenatal (neonatology) service on the premises can admit babies with a wide range of medical needs, including those born prematurely or who are ill.The activity of Level II maternity includes:
Follow-up of pregnancy by gynaecologist-obstetricians and midwives and prenatal diagnosis (ultrasound, chronic villus sampling, amniocentesis). Deliveries, monitoring of birth, learning to care for the new-born. A psychologist is involved in consultation and hospitalisation to respond to patients’ needs. The emphasis is put on parental information with individual attention for mothers-to-be and their families to help them prepare for the new-born arrival.
French/English childbirth classes are available at IHFB to prepare mothers and their families for a healthy, happy birthing and parenting experience. These pre-natal groups include breastfeeding, haptonomy, pool classes and “daddy” groups.
The service is involved in the activity of the Northern Perinatal Network 92, with Louis Mourier Hospital for neonatal intensive care (maternity type III) and with Beaujon Hospital for severe maternal pathologies and embolisation.
The gynaecology activity covers endocrinology and menopause, contraception (birth control education ), breast imaging, the management of diseases of the vulva, cervix (colposcopy), vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes, ovaries, urinary incontinence and infertility (networking for medically assisted procreation with the Hospital of Neuilly- Courbevoie).
Gynaecological surgery (abdominal, vaginal, laparoscopic and hysteroscopic) provides care for benign as well as cancerous pathologies, especially with “sentinel node” tests.The Gynaecological surgery service is a member of the continuing-care West Paris (SCOP) Cancer Network of Paris-Nord.
