Appointments 01 47 59 55 01 Functional exploration consists of diagnostic techniques which permit the understanding of the functional value of an organ, that is its ability to fulfil its physiological functions.
The medical-technical options offered by the Functional Exploration Service of the Institut Hospitalier Franco-Britannique are available as much for patients who are being cared for in the establishment (either hospitalised or in external consultation) as for those referred to us by outside doctors, other hospitals, clinics and dispensaries.
This service has long been recognised for its competence in ultrasound exploration of cardiac problems linked to systemic ailments (amyloidosis, systemic lupus erythematosus, scleroderma, sarcoidosis, polymyositis, Behçet’s disease, antiphospholipid syndrome, Sneddon’s syndrome etc.).
The facilities offered by the service are charged at the agreed public-health tariff (one third is at the expense of the patient or of a mutuelle complementary insurance) with no added fees. The only exception is sports medicine (consultations and tests of effort for athletes) which are carried out by the hospital on a private basis.

Examinations are carried out by appointment only on a medical prescription provided in advance.
The service is open Monday to Friday from 08h00 to 18H00
The work of the service is divided into these sectors:
Cardiocirculatory Exploration Standard electrocardiography for adults and children
Conventional effort electrocardiography for adults and children on a treadmill or ergometric bicycle which may be coupled to a measuring apparatus for exhaled gases
Holter ECG for adults and children (continuous recording by an electrocardiogram for 24 hours)
