The Medical Biology Laboratory conducts analyses 24/7, both for inpatients and patients in Casualty. Outpatients are admitted, with or without an appointment, at the blood samples centre on the first floor of the 4 rue Kléber site:

 -  Monday to Friday 08h00 to 17h00
 -  Saturday 08h00 to 12h00

The laboratory’s work is divided into three, under the supervision of specialist biologists who work in close cooperation with the medical personnel.
Computerised and equipped with high-performance technology, the laboratory is able to carry out emergency work in the shortest possible time.
This department manages blood stocks for both the hospital sites.

In conformity with biology reform under the Ballereau law of 2010, the laboratory applied for accreditation. On 7 January 2013, the Bio Qualité association, under the control of AFNOR Certification, gave the laboratory the excellent mark of 857 out of 1,000 for quality.

In the fight against nosocomial infections, the Institut Hospitalier Franco-Britannique keeps a tight watch on the environment (water, air and surfaces) as well as on patients who are at risk.
